Steve Dine is the managing partner and founder of Datasource Consulting. Steve is currently a faculty member of the Data Warehousing Institute and presents at many events on BI in the cloud. He will discuss trends in the industry and the pros and cons of leveraging the cloud for data warehousing and BI.
Alex Dickinson, Illumina
Illumina’s sequencing instruments can seamlessly stream data to the BaseSpace cloud (hosted on AWS) while processing data. These large datasets can then be instantly shared with other users, or further processed with tools from the BaseSpace app store. The AWS implementation ensures both security and massive scalability to meet the demands of research.
