Textual Disambiguation
By Bill Inmon

Abstract
At the heart of being able to use unstructured data in an analytical fashion is the process of textual disambiguation. The input to textual disambiguation is raw text (such as that found in Big Data.) The process of textual disambiguation creates context for the raw text, allows the raw text to be interpreted, and allows standardization of text to be done. This presentation describes the dynamics of textual disambiguation.

4:30 - 4:45 p.m.

Restroom/refreshment break

4:45 p.m. - 5:45 p.m.

Achieving Business Value from Big Data
By Bill Inmon

Abstract
Most corporations wake up in the middle of the Big Data experience and find that they have a big collection of unstructured data that they cannot do anything with. It is at that point that they discover that they need to disambiguate their raw text before they can do anything with it. This presentation is on turning unstructured text into actionable information.

5:45 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
