Wednesday 6th June 2012 – Datamart – Actioning Insight at Macquarie University

Macquarie University set itself the goal of being recognised amongst the world’s top 200 universities and Australia’s top eight Higher Education research hubs by 2114.

To realise this goal, it needed to obtain a deep understanding of its performance based on three key information sets and the ability to share this information with a wide audience of strategic decision makers in disparate geographic locations using a range of technologies.

The solution required a web-based, collaborative BI platform able to service any device in an interactive manner. In May 2011, Macquarie launched Datamart. This is the first of a suite of products at Macquarie University for data analytics, reporting and collaboration to improve precision, alignment and accuracy.
