Presentation: Driving User Adoption for BI and Business Analytics Solutions
by Richard Hines, TDWI Instructor, Partner at Ideaca

Abstract

As we all know, a strong, foundational approach to Business Intelligence will support a broad range of information capabilities in an organization.  While we often start with some basic reports and dashboards, there will come a point when the Business Intelligence assets can be leveraged to deliver on more advanced capabilities such as analytics or predictive modeling.  In this case, we need to be considerate of how an organization can be positioned to be successful and reach a broad audience.  This presentation will provide an overview of some of the current ideas and approaches used by organizations to support the adoption and evolution of Business Intelligence capabilities.  This will include:
•          Cultural change
•          Communities of practice
•          Business Intelligence Competency Centers
•          Utilizing multiple BI technologies

Presentation: Learn how to maximize your return on big data
By Rob Meyer, Informatica
 Abstract
Big data means all data, including both transaction and interaction data, in sets whose size or complexity exceeds the ability of commonly used technologies to capture, manage and process at a reasonable cost and timeframe.  The wealth of new data surrounding us can bring unprecedented business opportunities, but few organizations today are equipped to realize the full benefit.  Learn how to maximize your return on Big Data by leveraging emerging technologies like Hadoop.
